I just stole four of my kids' markers and started doodling around the edges of the envelope. I went a little crazy, I think, but it certainly is cheery! I may try this method again with a simple black felt pen.

My week 4 NO REASON NOTE went to a women who I work with in the children's organization of my church. She is wonderful, supportive and FUN! She has made my job much easier with her goodness.

My week 2 NO REASON NOTE went to the friend who had a very difficult year in 2012. I have thought of her and prayed for her so much, but nothing reminds you that you are loved and remembered like a real note in your mailbox.
She hasn't received it yet because this stupid square envelope requires additional postage! So I am off to the Post Office today for some smaller stamps to add to the regular ones. Sheesh!

Well, of course, the very first NO REASON NOTE of 2013 went to the friend who inspired it all, Jenny.
I decided to reach back to my scrapbooking roots and cute up the envelopes each week.
First things first: starting a Pinterest board just for beautiful envelopes and ideas. There's not too much out there so I thought I would share some of mine here.
Jenny is my Crafting Soul-mate. We first bonded over sewing and craft blogs and she is my go-to friend for chatting about quilts. You can check out her craft blog here....she's a quilting vixen!
I had a square card and an oblong envelope so I was able to sew right onto the envelope and be sure I could still get my card inside.
I stamped this cute Sewing Machine stamp onto a list pad I got at Target Dollar Spot a few years back. Then I used a circle punch to cut it out. If something has design or color you love (mustard yellow = stripes = swoon!), think about how you can use it!
