the world of craft - pt. 1

6.08.2011

This month I am dedicating several posts this Summer to Crafting Around the world.
You have no idea how many times I search Etsy with the tag word "Japan".
Because, seriously, everything is more fun in japan. The packing tape has smiling animals on it for goodness sakes!  So, today we start with Japan...a longtime fave.

Obsessed with...

Japanese sewing pattern magazines.  I have spent many a sleep-deprived night looking at the pages of these magazines online and dreaming of a time when I would shell out $30 for a magazine.  My favorite mag is called CUCITO BABIES & TODDLERS.  Here's a peek at a few pages from the Winter 2011 edition.
Could you die?

Please go buy it here. And then email me and tell me
how great it is and I'll be happy living vicariously through you.  Deal?

I drooled over a few of these for sure... especially all of that fabric.

Japanese pattern mags/books intimidate me. I'm worried I'm going to miss some super important instruction or something. There's a local class here that walks you through using a Japanese pattern, I might take it.
