Little Bird Wall Hanging

5.04.2009

Once in a while I create projects that just don't work.
You know, it seems brilliant, but along the way
something goes wrong and you stare and stare at it
and finally give up.
It happens to us all.
Remember this Dino Glasses post on the Martha Stewart blog?

But this past week I made something that I truly, deeply love.
All of the creative stars aligned and out came this simple, yet beautiful wall hanging.
It started with this mixed material feltie bird from Tessa Ann's Etsy Shop, a Turkish proverb and everything else fell into place.
And I adore it.
No apologies. No self deprecating side-notes.
I adore it.

Supplies: 6x6" papier mache canvas, felt bird from TessAnn's Etsy shop, wood grain paper by Cosmo Cricket (Mr. Campy), Green lined paper by GCD Studios, Yellow patterned paper by October Afternoon, alphabet stickers by Making Memories, Zooballoo Cricut cartridge & Cricut, pop dots, blue ribbon. Quote is a Turkish Proverb.

This is just lovely. I'd scoop it right up if I saw it in a store!
