This past Summer I stocked up on about 6 of these clear school cases when they were on sale for $0.25 each. I have since used them for many things, but my favorite use is to store my mini glue gun and glue sticks. Since the Summer I have been wondering why I never thought of it before.
Just grab this off the shelf and you know that everything you need is on hand. You do have to wait for your gun to truly cool down after use before putting it away...or else you will melt the glue sticks below.
And yes, I learned that the hard way...or should I say the "melty" way.
How do YOU store your glue gun and sticks?
Do you have a system in place?

I use an old metal perfume box...unfortunately it still smells like that sweet stinky perfume..but I don't have to wait for it to cool down before storing..
No kidding!?!? Why didn't I think of this?! I inherited my grandma's glue-gun, and it's OLD and HARTY. I taped up the original box (that has instructions on how to glue down laminate!!! It's THAT old!!!) and the glue-gun just get's put back in the original box (probably pre-1970).
I SOOO need to do this!
You're brilliant! I'm so glad I saw your post. I was just rearranging some wire shelves of crafty items and the glue gun & plastic baggy of sticks keeps getting caught in the shelf instead of sitting nicely. I have tons of those cases, so now I can remedy that. And as far as the melting is concerned, I think lots of us have learned that lesson the hard way (including me!). Woo hoo to better organization!
currently in an open shoe box with other miscellaneous items, but I have an empty 'school case' right next to it that it is now going to go into.
I have an old tin from popcorn the scouts sold years ago!! I keep it in there along with extra sticks!!! It's perfect.
Super smart! I will be using this one. Thanks!
I love this! I think I'll give the pencil box idea a go for my glue guns (yes, I have like 5?). I found that the mini glue sticks fit perfectly in the jars that marachino cherries come in, so I've got a couple of those holding my glue supply. Great ideas - thank you!
Great idea! Thank you! Now if I could just find an easy way to store my big bite...:)
